Bodies and branches

The bodies of our association are governed by § 9 of the statute; branches, local representations and working groups by § 36. On this page you can get to know our bodies, branches and local representations in Cologne.

Our bodies

  • Executive Board

    Manages the association within the statute and the decisions of the General Assembly. Nine full members including the chair and three alternates, elected for two years (§ 18, § 21).

  • Audit Committee

    Accountable only to the General Assembly. Independently audits the books, accounts and contracts at least twice a year (§ 27).

  • Disciplinary Committee

    Independent in its work. Examines complaints with the right to be heard and a right of appeal (§ 28-31).

  • Election Committee

    Three non-candidate members who run the elections and prepare candidate lists with equal visibility (§ 16/3).

Branches

  • Women's Branch

    Promotes the equal participation of women in the association's work and decisions (§ 36).

  • Youth Branch

    Organises young people's democratic participation, training and candidacy support (§ 36).
